French terry is a knit fabric that resembles jersey knit, with a smooth side, and flat piles of yarn on the other. Our mill offers a heavier option of the regular weight stretch French terry, which amplifies the absorbency of the fabric. 

Being extremely stretchy and absorbent, it is perfect for sportswear, such as hoodies and sweatpants, as well as stretchy flats. 

It takes dye well, being unbleached and undyed.

Fabric care

Wash with-like colors, in warm water.
Do not use softener or bleach;
Preferably hang dry or flat dry. In case you use the dryer, remove it promptly from the dryer when complete.

If used in cloth diapers, it is recommended to prewash in hot water a few times, in order to open up the pores, making the fabric more absorbent.

Perfect for my diaper inserts

I’m having my first baby, due in early March, and while I was doing my research for cloth diapers I discovered Kinderel. After looking separately for premade stretchy flats vs just buying the fabric, I 110% recommended going with Kinderel, the fabric is super soft, and the width is just right for those extra large inserts. Out of the four yards I purchased I was able to make 4, 30x30 inch flats as well as 8, 30x15 inch ones with no left over fabric. On price difference alone Kinderel has made me feel much more prepared more quickly for my baby rather than any of the other available shops considering there is almost a $100 difference. If I end up needing more inserts I will definitely be going with Kinderel first.
